I really do appreciate the effort to come in and state your case. I applaud you for your efforts to provide a cheat free server to play in. Just an observation - It might not be a bad idea to have members with the ability to kick and ban request the player in question leave the server and return with missionary running to eleviate any question of suspicion. I would have been happy to do so. If you don't want to accuse in the open server then ask them to go to spectate to request it.

B.O. Frito - If I was kicked to make room for another player in your clan that would be fine. However I was able to return and ask "Why was I kicked?" to be kicked again without explanation. The third time I returned was simply to invite you to read your review. I took a screenshot of the server from All Seeing Eye 12 players were in the server at the time so I was obviously not kicked to make room for another player. I agree this is only a game and with that in mind I came to your server to enjoy your hospitality. I was greeted with a boot out the door with no warning or explanation. I did not say anything to provoke the kick so I can only assume it was my gameplay that got under someones skin. I can understand that I've been there myself. All I ask is for a heads up before getting thrown out of the server.

Below is the original review of THEM I did a 9-14-04. I went to check THEM out one more time to make sure I was not too harsh. Playing under an alias I went 18-8 on crossroads in about 13 minutes. I was kicked without explanation. I went back in under my alias and asked why? No answer simply kicked again. I went back a 3rd time as MOHTRUTH and told THEM to read their review on my website.

While everything in the original review still rings true you can add that they are happy to invite all noobs to be owned by THEM. But if you have any talent stay clear of the THEM server because you are not welcome at least by =B.O=Frito, SSGT. SPOOKY. They were the only 2 members other than Rec.Alpha1 in the server at the time I was kicked. Funny it happened right after I killed Frito in a straight up face to face confrontation.

If I am wrong and this was simply a misunderstanding I will be more than happy to apologize. If it was the quick action of one frustrated player I would not want it to be a reflection on the whole THEM clan.

The truth will not be going over to see THEM again because he is unwanted. No worries though their are too many other outstanding servers loaded with skilled players to visit!

In the few times I have been to their server over the past couple of weeks I have yet to see one of THEM on the axis. I have seen THEM verbally abuse guests in their server (although not without being provoked a little). I have seen THEM accuse players of cheating (without coming right out and saying hack ie... oh able to shoot through a couch are you?). This usually happens right after one of THEM dies.

According to their rules page verbal abuse and crying hack are against the rules.

It also says

III. DEALING WITH CHEATERS

•  Cheating by use of modifications to the game that are not permitted by the clan will under no cirumstances be tolerated.

Just curious: What modifications are allowed by THEM? And what are they running on their server? Couldn't really tell if it was classic or a realism mod.

They say they use Reverend on the server.

Since Less than Zero was the only one of THEM using missionary then are we to assume that DeMoNiC, Frito, & ToeJam are probably cheating? I seriously doubt it "especially GOA.DeMoNiC who is an exceptional player", but I found it ironic to have those announcements running.

All in all this is a highly competitive server and they have talented team play. Probably better for small clan invasions to test your team communication skills against theirs rather than individual play.

Just spotted this server for the first time. I dropped in for a few rounds and ran into {RID} KingAtlas (aka MYTH Atlas). Too soon to give a solid review but I liked what I saw so far. It was a compeititive, clean (cheat free) and fast moving (little camping).

Despite the efforts of Teamspeak it remains far behind Ventrilo in sound quality. Teamspeak still sounds like your talking into a tunnel.

Modern Warfare is a Modern Total Conversion Modification for Medal Of Honor Allied Assault. Modern Warfare was designed with a main goal of bringing the present day modern warfare weapons and a modern atmosphere with the Mohaa feel and game play. Designed by modders from the Mohaa community, Modern Warfare promises to deliver the same heart stopping action with the added effects of the modern battlefield. Designed a few weeks before "Operation Iraqi Freedom" gamers will have an opportunity to use similar weapons and fight similar enemies as soldiers in the Iraq War.

The modification will include over 6 multiplayer maps from the dry Iraqi deserts to city streets in Florida allowing Mohaa fans to cruse around in Black Hawk Helicopter from the US army fully fireable and manoeuvrable. All new weapons from the grenade to bazooka, over 30 player skins and redesigned HUD and menus. The game will be heavily modified from each detail and will be clocked out with FPS to ensure quality gaming.

Although the Medal Of Honor Software Development Kit (SDK) was never released and software was limited, the team from Modern Warfare has found it possible to include new reloads, weapon models, player models and also driveable vehicles. The first release of Modern Warfare will not include single player maps as the team decided.

Although Mohaa has begun to lose interest in its players as noticed in the community, Modern Warfare may or may not have an effect. The amount of cheating and "hacking" in Mohaa will never go away, but Modern Warfare is working as best they can to prevent or stop it from reaching the mod.

We have all looked forward to the day this mod would be released and we hope you enjoy playing it every second as much as we enjoyed making it.

INSTALLATION
============

First make sure you remove any older mods you have installed. You can do this simply by browsing to your mohaamain folder and move all .pk3 files except pak0.pk3 up to pak6.pk3 to a different folder. Then open the modern-warfare-final.zip with WinZip or a similar program and click 'extract'. Browse to your mohaamain folder. Choose 'All Files' and make sure 'Use Folder Names' is selected. That's all, start mohaa and you're good to go!

Should you decide to uninstall this total conversion, then simply remove the file user-modernwarfare00.pk3 from your mohaamain folder and also remove the folder mohaamainsoundmodernwarfa re, completely.

Special Configuration Cvars

Modern-Warfare contains a number of variables that can be set on a server to influence gameplay and balancing. Any of the following can be set in a server .cfg file, via the 'set' command on the server console or via 'rcon set'.

The following cvars are available:

mw_noheli (default 0)
---------------------
If set to 1 there will not be a flyable heli in the dm/mw_miamiheat map.

mw_helirocketmode (default 0)
------------------------- ----
This cvar controls the rockets on the heli in the dm/mw_miamiheat map.

You can set it to any of the following values:
-1: do not use any rockets at all
0: heli has guided rockets
1: heli rockets can be steered by the pilot by looking at the target
2: heli uses unguided rockets

mw_hi_quality_spotlights (default 0)

When set to 1 increases the number of dynamic lights used for the spotlight on the mp5 submachine gun. Only use when there are few players and plenty of network available, for example for LAN games.

Controls the number of M203 Fragmentation grenades available for players who selected the M16 assault rifle.

mw_ak47_nades (default 2)
-------------------------
Sets the number of low velocity grenades for the axis ak-47 assault rifle. Grenade type will be poisonous gas in DM/TDM matches and fragmentation in objective games.

Weapon limiting cvars

The following cvars can be used to forbid the use of certain weapons (like shotguns and rocket launchers) on your server. When set to 1 players won't be able to use the corresponding weapons anymore. The following cvars are available, all default to 0:

There are literally 100's of custom TDM maps for MOHAA. Which ones do you consider the best!

List them in the comments starting with the one you like most (Please be sure to include a link to the site where it can be downloaded).

The Top 20 nominated TDM maps will be posted on Monday night 13th. Take a week to get aquainted with them. The following Monday, the 20th, a poll will be opened until midnight Wednesday the 22nd to vote for the best 5 custom TDM maps in MOHAA!

Hopefully there will be one or two servers willing to put the Top 5 into rotation.

MOHAA players are some of the most politically minded people I have ever met. With that in mind I believe it's time to stand and be counted. They have the Zogby Poll, the Reuters Poll, the Gallop Poll and literally 100's of others. Now we have the MOHAA Presidential Poll!!

I've been playing in the Holyland clan server for over a year now from time to time. Never before have I noticed a problem. Yesterday while I was in (for about an hour) I watched as |X|antman, another |X| player, =|BoM|= Star Dazes, and a [280d] member were banned for no reason other than having good scores.

What was extremely sad was not one Holyland player was playing in the server with their tags on. After being repeatedly asked who was the admin in the server the guttless wonder would not speak up.

I can only hope you have a rogue admin with a power trip in progress. Hopefully Holyland will handle this situation with swiftness, if not no worries at the rate of 4 GOOD MOHAA players being banned an hour it should take no time at all for you to be playing with all noobs again.  

There is a new server crash out. It basically fi lls all public slots on a server with non existent people. Then regular people can not get in the server.  Ea really needs to step up to the plate and fix this. 

They have to take into consideration the MOHAA community (over 500,000 strong) according to CSPORTS.NET is the foundation for their upcoming release of MOHPA. They claim that MOHPA will have 24/7/365 technical support to prevent hacks.

I will believe it when I see it! If they would start now by addressing some of the issues faced by MOHAA it would go along way to restoring faith in their promises. It's simple to understand, the same problems that plague MOHAA now will be tried on MOHPA. If they get a jump on them now it will make it that much easier to maintain the integrity of MOHPA upon its release.

WHY????

After a good match with =|BoM|= Pacific which ended in a 66-43 (RSHA_X) victory. Pacific played one man down throughout the match but had a very respectable showing.

Why were there 2 OGL Admins observing the match? Were they requested? If so, by which team & why?

Did this have anything to do with (RSHA_X)'s previous match on August 26th vs =|BoM|= Charlie which ended in a 280 - 277 (RSHA_X) win?

UPDATE: {RSHA_X} won their appeal as a team and have been reinstated at rung #15. The two members however are still on suspension due to the another case of missinterpretation of OGL rules which can often be interpreted in more than one way.

No wonder the servers were less than full last night. I can imagine the number of downloads EA got on this. So after playing the first mission over and over and over... What did you think?

Personally all I can say is THANK YOU EA for giving this MOH Addict another hit to keep going until the full release of MOHPA.

OGL league matches are more often than not a campfest. The team challenging up has to hunt and the challenged takes up strategic positions to defend and pick off the aggressors (ie... the evil camping).

Hmmm....sounds alot like real war. Some maps are more prone to camping than others. Run n Gun tactics aren't often seen except when the game is out of reach by one team or the other.

However no matter how good you are at camping every map has a vulnerability. You simply need to know how to exploit it for 1 kill. Often 1 kill is enough to turn the tables and draw out the "campers" forcing them into the position of the aggressor.

When challenging up take advantage of the only tools you have to know your opponent. Check out their record on OGL. What maps do they favor to win and what maps have they shown weakness in to lose? Do the scores reflect a camping style or run n gun?

If you know they camp then don't select a camping map. Choose Stalingrad, Remagen and Destroyed Village.

Remember above all else this is still a GAME so play it to the best of your abilities and have fun.

If you do need to blow off steam, (because keeping it inside may cause serious health issues), then by all means let the accusations fly.
