With the release of MOHPA this week many gamers will find themselves looking to make upgrades to their systems or build a new one. And as we all know prices can fluctuate outrageously for the exact same item from vendor to vendor. Sooo.....

I jumped in their server a couple of weeks ago when I noticed in the All Seeing Eye they had a single player map modded for team play running. These are fast becoming a favorite of mine. They provide a nice change of pace from the stock multi-player maps and you don't have to download anything to play. MPowell1944 has done an awesome job converting these maps for team play.

While the server now runs a mix of traditional and modded team play maps MPowell1944 is modding hard so =FS= can eventually run the modded single player maps exclusively. All I can say is keep em coming!

The Firing Squad =Fs= was started around January of this year. A group of guys from another clan (since broken up) decided to form a new one with a more relaxed atmosphere. I've had the opportunity to play with Hobbs, MPowell1944, Kraco, Rayden, BRUNO, chavez and Quiet Fury. If you come from a big family you'll know what I mean when I say it was like hanging out with siblings. Good natured and easy going.

UPDATE 12/8/2004 - Gomer has stepped down and Rocker has taken on the task of rebuilding this clan. They are redesigning their website and acquiring a new server. Renovation from the bottom up. I really enjoyed the map rotation which includes a number of maps modded from the single player maps inlcuded in the MOHAA game.  It's a nice change of pace and theirs nothing to download.

All was good for the 1st 2 rounds when the custom maps were running and I was even. When Stalingrad came up I went a modest 22-17 and was called a f***ing hack & told I was using binds. I had a nice salad for dinner that might have been binding me up, wait no ahhhh not anymore. I wasn't totally suprised though. In the 3 rounds I was there they kicked 2 people for hacking and called me and another player hacks.

Considering I was nothing but respectful to their players I was very dissapointed to be called a hack in the open server. Kicking and harassing out of the box clean players is the quickest way to gain a bad reputation in the MOHAA community.

I'm going to cut them some slack since I really like their maps and stop back in another night before I finish my post on [HZ].

Could it be there is trouble in Wildekarddeland?

No new stories on the main page of their website since August 7th. A handful of posts on the forum in the past month? Players leaving like rats running from a burning building.

Could this be the end of what was once a highly competitive clan or simply a rebuilding stage?

Scrolling through the ALL SEEING EYE I spotted the URC server and thought "It's been months since I've stopped by and hung out with the URC clan. So I dropped in for a couple of rounds."

What I landed in the middle of was a URC vs ALL session. I'm not sure but it looked like they were using the rounds in Southern France (played twice in a row) to try out a plan for an upcoming match.

Whatever they were up to it was a real challenge. The server is running classic so it was shotguns and closeup action. If your looking for a scrim for your clan these guys are always up for a couple of rounds. Key words ALWAYS UP - do you guys do anything else other than play MOHAA?

"Killing In The Game, Without Killing The Game"

Good People, Good Clean Killing. HiFiBuff, Rec Darky & Skullkrusha were great server hosts.

Skullcrusha met me in spec to take a look at Arnold Palmer (missing in the ss - he was kicked for wallhacking). Skullcrusha was polite and handled my inquiry respectfully. As many hacks do when they know they are being watched they start playing as their normal skilless selves. After going back in the game and having 2 other players call Arnold for his wallhack he was asked to stop. He admitted he was hacking because everyone else was (the normal excuse for someone with no skill who hacks). He was summarilly kicked. Kudos Skullcrusha for handling the situation swiftly and with class.

I've only been in the server for a handful of rounds, but if what I have seen is any indication this is a server to keep an eye on.

It's nice to see another clean server up and running in the community. I've visited 3 times so far and the members have been respectful to their guests and quick to clear out any troublemakers.

Gen.Rambo, Cpl.RedRubeDog, Sgt.|S.o.S|, Sgt.fJ & CiCKSugar were on today when I stopped by. Thanks again for the competition. It was good to run n gun without alot of campfires being set.
