I received this email from =|BoM|= alcoholic this evening.
Ladies and Gentleman of the Medal Of Honor Community.
I regret to inform you all that on December 23 at 6:45 am, =|BoM|=Waylander aka *|MYTH|*Ares, DS Able, (EFC}Able1, suffered a major heart attack at the young age of 31. He is at this time recovering in the hospital. Douglass, his wife and family are going through a very tough time. He is unable to send this message but his wife understands how strongly he feels for his clan mates and friends in the Medal Of Honor community. So please keep him and his wife in your prayers.

I for one have had the pleasure of Waylanders company in many a server. He is a class act and I wish him a speedy recovery. My prayers are with him and his family.

The map to be played is Stalingrad.
(MOB)#1 is (8-0) on Stalingrad since August 23rd, 2003.
Relentless Elite is (3-1) in competition on Stalingrad.
This has all the makings of a classic!

At the request of The Banished, (those who have been falsely accused of hacking and banned from your server), you have been cordially invited to a MOHAA scrim.
Proposal:
- To make it fair The Banished will not be made up of one battle hardened ladder clan. It will field 6 players randomly that have been falsely accused and banned in your server.
- Gamestyle - 6v6 TDM CKR (2 rounds of 20 minutes)
- Location - A mutually agreed on server.
- Anti-Cheat Program - The Reverend will be used by all.
- Time - The date and time will be mutually agreed on.
- Map - Your choice.
- Allies / Axis - You choose which side you want first round. The second round the sides will be reversed.
If you win ... The Banished will retire from MOHAA
If you lose... You will remove them from being banned on your server.
The Banished respectfully await your response.

I received an email this evening from =|BoM|= MamaBear. She told me a tale which is still unfolding.
(paraphrasing)
Once upon a time -|TLD|- Gambino challenged =|BoM|= to a match on the OGL TDM 6v6 ladder. -|TLD|- was having problems with their server and asked =|BoM|= to host it. But the evil server provider crashed =|BoM|='s servers the day before the match and wouldn't have them up in time to play.
In stepped =ANV=. They offered =|BoM|= their server for the match. But yet another server glitch prevented this.
-|TLD|- and =|BoM|= did not give up. They sought out more help. Hoods, Inc. answered the call of their MOHAA brothers (& sisters). The match was on again.
However the Reverend had other plans. It kicked all 12 players in the middle of the 1st round. Frustrated but not disheartened the warriors have agreed to do battle once again on Dec 19th.

In my opinion regardless of the outcome all of the clans involved in this match are winners for preserving the spirit of competition in MOHAA.
I'm certain there are other positive stories out there in the community. If you spot one send it my way.

This clan has been around since December of 2002.
In that time they have had their ups and downs. Recently it seems they have fallen into the "Kill me too much you must be hacking syndrome." The situation looks hopeless for this lost group of individuals. Especially if the boy named Sue remains in charge of the asylum*.

They have had no matches on OGL since October 21st and now have two consecutive forfeit losses. Combine that with the fact that their server is down and it seems the only conclusion can be "Rest In Peace KoA". Your talent and competition will be missed.

Stones pointed this one out. It looks promising. Anything to stop the bleeding and bring our game wandering brothers back home so we can shoot them some more....
Reloaded is an unofficial expansion for the game Medal of Honor Allied Assault (MoHAA). The reason why we have decided to give it this name refers to a while back when EA announced the release of their first expansion for the game. We all were very excited, but the name was still to be decided. There were rumours that the first expansion would be called 'Reloaded' and that it would contain the same fantastic mohaa feeling and filled with new maps, skins and new game modes. Later on, the name 'Spearhead' was official as well as the release date. Unfortunately many of us were disappointed by the new look and game style that was given to 'Spearhead' and stuck to the original game. After the release of ‘Breakthrough’, many of the oldskool mohaa players lost faith. It’s at this point that we decided to take some action of our own, we wanted to give it a shot, to make our own expansion pack the way many people wanted to see it, the way we hoped 'Spearhead' would have been, the way…Reloaded should have been and the name was born. The name Reloaded is also the perfect description for this expansion pack as the game 'Medal of Honor Allied Assault' will be reloaded with new skins, maps etc. without changing the mohaa game play.
Designed by modders from the Mohaa Community, Reloaded promises to deliver the same heart stopping action on over six new multiplayer maps. The mod also comes with the ability to melee with the machine guns and rifles and comes with new skins, complete single player campaign and much much more! Besides all this Reloaded also attempts to fix a lot of bugs currently in the game, one of the greatest fixes we have for you is a fix for a bug named 'land sharking' with the release of Reloaded this bug will be a thing of the past.
Although the Medal of Honor Software Development Kit (SDK) was never released and software was limited, the team from Reloaded has found it possible to include new animations, weapon models, player models and also the ability to melee. Unfortunately this also limited us with many fantastic idea's, we were unable to toggle blood patch, add new voice groups for some great new taunts, add new weapon groups for exciting new weapons, and many other innovative idea’s that we were trying to get together. However, we are able to replace items that already exist, so it’s possible to replace the bazooka for example with a new gun but that’s a decision we have left for the community to decide eventually.
In the past months Mohaa has began to lose interest, its once 24/7 players were getting bored and it has been noticed within the community. Reloaded may or may not have an effect. The amount of cheating and “hacking” in Mohaa will never go away, but with the help of Cashy's DMW, we may eventually be able narrow it down a lot.
A better Mohaa World starts with you! Reloaded gives us the opportunity to start fresh, with new tournaments/ladders, new servers etc. Let's not make the same mistake again, let's try and make Reloaded a CLEAN Community that other game communities can be envious of. Help each other by NOT cheating and lets help to target and drive out the players that are doing so. Only by doing this will Reloaded be able to bring the fun back into the game and we can all enjoy Mohaa as it was supposed to be played.
Reloaded is expected to be released early 2005 depending on the work and effort put in to the community and the team. We all look forward to the release and we hope you will too.

Several clans have had members working to convert single player maps for multiplayer gameplay. I've contacted most of them over the last couple of months to see if they would be willing to share them with the community. Thusfar I've received only 1 map (m2l1). Most of the clans have responded that the maps were done for their servers and they do want them in open distribution.
Some of he maps in current rotation on servers are very good and some more in development are looking to be even better.
Just a thought... A competition. See who can come with the best conversions and then let the MOHAA community vote on them. The final four could be used for a MOHAA tournament hosted by OGL, Blackbart or the clans with the winning maps.
If there is any interest I will look into getting some sponsorship for the tournament.
